While in Law School in Southern California, I interned with the San Diego Public Defenders Office.  I enjoyed the fast pace and presenting pleas and appearing for countless arraignments in front of judges.  Though I was offered an opportunity for a post bar clerkship, I decided to move back to the south east to be close to family.  I started with a small law firm in East Point.  I handled several types of cases while there, personal injury, divorces and other family law matters, criminal defense, contracts, will and trusts.  I left to join a large bankruptcy firm in downtown Atlanta.

In 2008 I decided to start my own firm with the goal to provide personal attention to each client. I wanted each case to be handled with detailed attention, professionalism, compassion, and efficiency to ensure the best possible results to their difficult situation.

D. Michael Johnson legal key areas of focus are helping families through difficult divorce and custody issues. When financial troubles occur, I want to help clients with their Bankruptcy whether Chapter 7 or Chapter 13. I’ll find the best solution for your situation. Wills and Trusts can be simple solutions and I want all my clients to be aware of all the options when preparing for the future.
